If your religion takes offense to another religious leader's usage of a quote from a writing that also contains messages that criticize your religion and its founder for being violent, don't show your level of offense by acting out violently. It makes your religion look pretty bad in the eyes of those with free thought.

Also, if you're a religious leader who is supposed to be infallible during your role as said leader, don't apologize since infallible means you do not make mistakes.
